2009 UND Night

Join the Notre Dame Club of Cincinnati, Friday, May 22nd, at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza to celebrate our annual Universal Notre Dame Night!

We are honored to have Rev. William M. Lies, CSC, director of the Center for Social Concerns, as our keynote speaker. Fr. Lies has directed the Center, a leading institution for research, learning and service in the Catholic Social Tradition, since 2002. Over that time scores of students have participated in community-based learning programs such as the Appalachia Seminar, Washington DC Seminar: Human Rights, Policy, and Faithful Citizenship, and Summer Service projects (including service projects here in Cincinnati).

Fr Lies is also a political science instructor and fellow of the Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies and the Joan B. Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. He lives in Alumni Hall.

In addition to hearing Fr. Lies, we will be presenting the Club’s 2009 Award of the Year to Nick Schrantz! Please see the article in this newsletter about Nick.

Come, socialize with fellow alums and enjoy great food at a historic venue! Cost for the event is $30 - a limited number of seats are left. Contact Kevin McManus (513-295-6690) if you would like to register for one of the last seats!
